Mobilising Private Capital with Nature (Netherlands Pavilion) | BCA-led
This panel and interactive workshop will explore how biodiversity credits can help mobilise private capital for nature, with a focus on the responsibilities of both supply and demand-side actors. The session will examine what constitutes high-integrity use and claims, how greenwashing can be avoided, and how contractual arrangements can reinforce integrity in practice. Participants will then apply these considerations to concrete cases, including questions around metrics, tradability, environmental impact and the governance role of Indigenous Peoples, Local Communities and Afro-Descendant Peoples.
